Back in October a group of 40 Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) students visited San Francisco for 2 days as part of their west coast tour.  Several of our Galileo Interactors joined the fun to help show these students our city.  Christian & Krissie were there as well to help chaperone and take groups on tours.  Students chose either Union Square, Chinatown, or Haight Ashbury for their morning tour.  They also went to Alcatraz and biked the Golden Gate Bridge during their stay.  The students collectively were from over 20 different countries and came through efforts of Western States Student Exchange (WESSEX).  WESSEX is a non-commercial organization originally formed by seven Rotary International Districts (5130, 5150, 5160, 5170, 5180, 5220, and 5230). Did you know that our very own District 5150 participates in RYE? Many clubs in our district participate and sponsor exchange students.
